Stitching Away..

After last years Purple Flower project I decided on another flower project but this time slightly different, it's a button flower project. This uses one of my most hated stitches "Lazy Daisy", now I know that they're easy to do but I really really don't like them. I like symmetrical designs and this stitch rarely looks even when more than 1 is used...BUT this year I'm going to try and not do as much symmetrical stuff on the embroidery side and just let my needle play whenever the mood takes me.

FINALLY finished part 6 of my Around the World, taking part in WIP Wednesdays with Friendly Stitchers so decided that I need to catch up on ATW.

Here's my HAED after a couple of weeks of stitching at least 2hrs on 4 evenings a week....

Finally I managed to put in a few stitches on my Mary Wigham SAL on the Sunday Stitch In with The Stitch Specialists, not many as we spent a lot of the day out in the snow..

Finally here's DS2's photo from Thursday night
Taken by Luke on 17th Jan 2013 showing it snowing.

  2. Some lovely progress. I finished part 6 of ATW last night and am just starting part 7. I would love to get caught up with it.

I think the button flower project is really pretty. I know what you mean about lazy daisy. I can never get mine looking uniform.

  4. I've just started Around the World, and I'm currently at the part in section 1 that requires the Lazy Daisy stitch. I've never done it before, so it should be...interesting! Yours look very nice.
